What meowmc.org stores when a report is submitted, what a report never carries, and how stored data expires.
What the service stores
When a server submits a report, the report JSON is stored and served at a short URL (
meowmc.org/r/<id>) for 30 days. For upload quota only, the service keeps a SHA-256 hash of the connecting IP address for one hour. The IP address itself is not stored. What a report never contains
The report schema carries no player names, no IP addresses, and no world coordinates — that is a property of the schema itself, not an option. World names are the only identifying field a report carries.
Accounts
There are no accounts on meowmc.org. Nothing here is tied to an identity.
Who can see a report
Anyone with the URL. Report ids are 26 random characters (A–Z, 2–7), so they are unguessable — but a URL is a URL: treat it as the whole access control. The JSON behind a report is served publicly at its URL, exactly as a viewer page fetches it.
Deletion
Reports expire automatically: after 30 days, a stored report answers 404 and the viewer shows its not-found state. Automatic expiry is the removal path — a contact address for removing a report early is not published.
Disabling uploads
Server hosts can disable report uploads at will — the service honours a one-line kill-switch, answered as 503, while report viewing keeps working.
